We had a surprise visit from Heidi Carson and her Dad Sammy, from the Ulster Scots Association one Monday morning! It was fantastic, the children were really engaged and totally taken with the music that Heidi and Sammy played for us (they are tremendously talented!). There was a lot of spontaneous clapping, toe tapping and knee jiggling going on throughout the visit as the children learnt all about a variety of instruments they brought along to play Scottish, Irish and even some Bluegrass tunes! We actually had complete silence at one point when the harp was being played, a rare occasion in Greengables! We wish we could start every Monday morning like this!
