We like to make the most of our fruit basket donations, so when Friday arrives and there are lots of apples left over, it's a great opportunity to make some tasty juice! This is great for introducing the children to safe use of some cutting implements. We used crinkle cutters which can be gripped with one or two hands, using tools like these encourages hand/eye co-ordination, grasp & dexterity as well as concentration, all of which are important pre-writing skills... It also gives the children a great sense achievement when they see what they are capable of doing independently!
