April Adventures!

Chop! Chop! We used coloured spaghetti as an alternative way to develop our scissor skills! The spaghetti is super wiggly which creates a bit more of a challenge for the children cutting it!

Slime time! Geli baf mixed with some rice produced a swampy environment for the dinosaurs! Not only is this a sensory delight, but we also got to see how the texture changed overnight. Adding more water/gelibaf/food colouring at the request of the children, allowed them to predict and experiment with the change in consistency! As you can see, they were not afraid to get 'stuck in'!

The tennis tournaments have continued this month with the children in deep discussions about how these should take place, sorting teams, compromises and deliberations! The children are really growing in confidence, developing their own challenges and are prepared to take control and some reasonable risks during their physical play!

The Greengables cafe was very busy this month! We also had a very well fed Tiger in the classroom! We had some more celebrations with Talia and even managed to squeeze in time to have the grown-ups join us for storytime!

Finally! some brighter days for our outdoor play! The place was taken over by some pirates, the children made their own obstacle course, increased core strength on the balance boards and created lots of interesting concoctions in the outdoor kitchen!
