Mad March!

We made some tasty chocolate nests, our very own 'Marvin and Molly' sheep, had an Easter egg hunt, (indoors because the rain was lashing!) a disco, (check out the moves!) and finished up with a special snack time before we went on our Easter break! We also got to hear all about Mollie's Florida holiday, Talia's Eid celebrations, Bella and Bertie's last adventures of the year and Ben found his very own 'Stickman' on his way to Pre-school!

At this stage of the year, the children have really become little experts in the art of making dough! This time round we created some mega minty dough and worked with some tiny dried flowers to challenge our fine motor skills. We also made 'ice cream playdough' which was a sensory delight both with smells and sight!

I am sure you all remember the day the children went home a little (?) bit blue..... Hopefully this video will explain why! This kind of sensory play allows for a whole range of learning opportunities, but in a really fun way!

It does not take much to unleash the creativity in a four year old, they really do have mega imaginations and we love to nurture this within Greengables! Working with polystyrene, cocktail sticks and skewers, the children made some exceptional pieces of work!

Wowzers! Thankyou so much to everyone that helped our little ones fill up their Smartie Tubes! We really appreciate it! £275 raised across both classes! You are all Super Savers!

Our play, our way! We like to ensure the children have a balanced mix of child-led free play and organised activities, both indoors and out! Free play presents lots of opportunities for decision making, managing risk, confidence building and allows their imagination and creativity to run wild and free!
