 February Fun!

Fun with friends, 4th Birthday Celebrations, Bella & Bertie adventures! We love witnessing these magical moments; blossoming friendships, shared social snack times, working and playing together and giving each other a helping hand when needed!

We had an impressive turn out when the grown-ups were invited to join us for Storytime! 'If you see..' is a great interactive book for the children, with lots of "Wows, Ooohs and Ahhhhs!" finishing off with a bit of screaming at the end! Maybe not one for bedtime!

So many tasty toppings to choose from for our Pancake Day snack time! This was a real treat that included chocolate spread & sprinkles! Of course, the children were also developing their cutting and spreading skills, making their own choices and increasing their independence!

Welcome to Greengables' Hairdressers! It was all go as soon as the doors opened! Molly was busy booking in appointments and the children experimented with some interesting new hairstyles! The budding hairdressers were very attentive and Linda C was treated to a really special new hairdo!

Spider babies! Some of the children were disappointed that this activity did not involve actual spider babies! They were very gentle transplanting the babies into their new pots to take them home. We hope the plants are thriving!

Who says you can only paint with brushes?! We used toy cars and vehicles with the paint to explore mark making and patterns!

Collaborative Art gives the opportunity for so much learning potential. Thinking, planning, problem solving, developing creativity & imagination and sharing ideas, fine motor skills and mathematical development, This area has it all!

We made the most of getting the assembly hall to ourselves for an entire morning when it was much too rainy and windy to get outdoors! We had lots of opportunities to work on our balance/co-ordination and core strength using the sco-gym and mini stilts! We also practiced throwing, catching and hand/eye co-ordination and some of the children even created their own Tennis Tournament, complete with sweatbands!

Love you to pieces; decorative hearts, painting, drawing, fine motor challenges, scissor skills, mega builds by future engineers and quiet times in the Book Nook! These are just a few of those moments when the children were completely immersed in their play and learning experiences!
